The organization remains dedicated to the production, interpretation, and distribution of prints and other art media by Chicana/o and Latinx artists; and its multidisciplinary, intergenerational programs promote artistic excellence and empower community by providing access to working space, tools, training and beyond. Noche de Ofrenda proudly returns to Self Help Graphics on Wednesday, November 2 from 6:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m.! NDO honors the ancestors in a contemplative evening with live poetry and music, speakers by numerous altars produced by artists and community partners. Attend the evening with family and friends, and enjoy the offerings of the season with Mexican hot chocolate and pan de muerto. Noche de Ofrenda uplifts the spirit of our beloved and honors ancestors through the art and intention of the ofrendas with our central Community Altar created by SHG Legacy Artists and Master Altaristas, Ofelia Esparza, Rosanna Esparza Ahrens and the Esparza family! ***We encourage you to bring a 4x6 photo of your loved one for our community altar that you can place in a frame and embellish on site (while supplies last). We encourage you to use a rideshare app to and from the event or carpool to attend seasonal activities. We highly recommend taking the Metro L Line to the Pico/Aliso station.
