The Poetry Brothel was founded in NYC in 2007. It is an immersive literary cabaret that fuses poetry, advocacy, burlesque, vaudeville, live music, visual art, magic, mysticism, and one-on-one poetry experiences.

Hosted by your favorite Mistress of Ceremonies Linda Ravenswood as Ach, Suzette!Live Music!Featured Poets include: Valerie Darling as Herself, Renata Zhigulina as Jean-Paul, Brian Sonia-Wallace as Vallachinsk, Frankie Tan as Moonlight, Cierra Martin as Jane, 25, Daniel Lovato as Pastiche Queen, Christian Perfas as Wit, Princeton Bolton as Jamarius X, Chris Siders as Icarus Jame, Vesta Vaingloria as herself, Koko as Peachpuff, and Derrick Brown will be our special guest!Burlesque Stylings: Elio Martinez Song Siren: Tas Al-GhulMystics: Willis and Chanelle Madam Tallula presents a rotating cast of poets who impart their work as purveyors of private poetry readings in secret, hidden, well-appointed chambers. You may avail yourself of your choice of poet for tokens at any time during the event.On the patio, the troupe presents Tarot readings, poetic souvenirs, live typewriter poetry, and occasional dance and musical performances.On the stage, a two-hour roster of Vaudeville variety entertainment... and words, words, words! The El Cid tapas kitchen and bar will be open for dinner and drinks throughout.ADVISORIES-Doors open at 6:30pm with a happy hour and from 6:30-7pm.
