Find your people, Find your practice. We are a place where community and contemplation meet. No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Your partnership helps make this nonprofit possible.(As a social enterprise, the Hive shares our story with photos of classes and events. If you are opposed to sharing your lovely face let is know and we'll do our best to avoid that. But by using an event ticket you agree to let The Hive share your image in photo, audio, and video.)

What disconnections and isolations are you noticing or grieving?Would it be refreshing to revisit the personal and shared resilience experience of intentionally held Brave Space?Courage to Connect has grown over the years to include hundreds of small group spaces for abolitionism. We&#x27;ve learned practices including bearing witness, boundaries, noting, and the R.A.I.N. method. But most of all we’ve come to experience that holding Brave Space together brings resonance and shared experiences to give deeper attention to what is arising without the need to colonize, neatly package, or close the loop on action and reflection.If you are feeling an urge for this, Shanda, Daniel, and Troy are too. And so we are inviting this contemplative group for Courage to Connect alumni or others interested in Brave Space to revisit the power of these sort of groups:A one-time in-person or virtual event- so our friends from out of town can join us. Feel free to sign up for both, if you are able.The agenda is very loose, and will likely change as participants contribute to shaping the agenda, but we will start with the questions: Why did you say Yes to this invitation? What are you noticing?La Shanda Sugg, LPC is a trauma-specializing therapist and training consultant. Her trauma expertise and ability to make complex concepts easy to understand make her work accessible. Her authenticity and transparency as a trauma survivor make people want to listen. La Shanda founded Labors of Love Counseling and Consulting, LLC to help organizations understand trauma and the traumatic stress of racism and other forms of oppression and help them move towards Cultural Humility and Somatic Abolitionism. As a therapist, she helps relationships and communities Move from Coping to Healing. Through her podcast, The Labors of Love Podcast, La Shanda and her guests invite people into a world of healing, wholeness, and mental wellness. He is working to reduce gun violence and deaths, mass incarceration, and recidivism in the county, and works with interfaith organizations to create new ways for people to belong in community. Daniel pays attention to the souls of the men and women in the movement, provides wisdom and an alternative perspective while bringing a message of love and truth to those desperate for family and freedom. He finds joy in helping others identify their passion and purpose, and connect them to the resources that will make them the most loving and productive people in their community.Troy Bronsink is the founder of The Hive. He and Daniel Hughes co-founded the Courage to Connect approach. Troy is a spiritual director, transformational leadership coach, published author, facilitator and minister from the Protestant, Presbyterian Christian lineage. In both secular and faith-based settings, Troy’s work has been to build spiritual depth within creatives, activists, and entrepreneurs. Troy has presented at Creative Mornings, 99U, and TEDx’s Innovation Alley and is a member of the Living School at Albuquerque&#x27;s Center for Action and Contemplation. He lives with his wife and two kids in Northside.<h3>Covid Considerations: Masks are currently optional at the Hive. Individuals may choose to wear a mask for personal protection, and as always, we ask anyone who is feeling sick or has a high temperature to not attend until they are recovered.
