Since 2011, the Baltimore Job Hunters Support Group's (BJHSG) mission is to increase HOPE (Happiness, Opportunities, Positivity, Encouragement) for all job seekers, with emphasis on the long-term unemployed, by providing social, emotional, and psychological support, along with information, referral, and customized strategies, to help the un(der)employed maintain resilience, energy, and self-confidence as they strive to recharge, redesign and rebuild successful careers. BJHSG  meets every Monday at 6:30 pm and Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the Corner Community Center, 5802 Roland Avenue in Baltimore. Today’s evolving world of work makes it imperative for employers to manage psychosocial hazards (PSH) and risks leading to work-related stress. Acknowledged as global issues affecting all workers and industries, PSH are work factors that have the potential to lead to physical or psychological injury and stress, relating to how work is designed, organized, and managed, and to work relationships and interactions. Management of PSH is part of the duty of care of today&#x27;s responsible and ethical employers to employees. U.S. employers need to recognized this responsibility.Internationally recognized attorney and author Ellen Pinkos Cobb will introduce us to this very important issue. A﻿bout EllenEllen Pinkos Cobb is an author, attorney, and Subject Matter Expert on International Workplace Bullying, Harassment, and Psychosocial Hazards. Her third book, Managing Psychosocial Hazards and Work-Related Stress in Today’s Work Environment: International Insights for U.S. Organizations, was recently published (Routledge August 2022).

She is also the author of Bullying, Violence, Harassment, Discrimination and Stress: Emerging Workplace Health and Safety Issues (Routledge, 2017) and International Workplace Sexual Harassment Laws and Developments for the Multinational Employer (Routledge, 2020), comprehensive resources containing relevant global legislation and developments. 

Ellen is a Founding Fellow of the US Academy of Workplace Bullying, Mobbing &amp; Abuse and works in Boston, MA as a Subject Export on international harassment at SAI360. She has over a decade of experience in both OHS as a Senior Regulatory &amp; Legal Analyst at The Isosceles Group, an international environmental occupational health and safety consultancy, and in employment discrimination at the MA Commission Against Discrimination.Ellen's publications include:
