30/06/2024 2pm till 4pm
Each person is given a small A6 sketchbook and a stick of graphite. The objective of the workshop is to walk through the free exhibition at The Drawing Room and each make 41 drawings in 2 hours.
We will be visiting the Drawing Room 2024 Biennial exhibition:
https://biennial.drawingroom.org.uk/home
There will be over 250 artworks for us to get inspired by. From pastel drawings to collage on paper, we will explore the exhibitions and draw in a small group from observation.
There will be time for us to explore the Drawing Room library, where they have the largest collection of books on historical and contemporary drawing in the world.
There will be lots of objects/artworks and starting points for conversation and inspiration to make some drawings. All abilities welcome and this workshop is free to access.
This specific session is hosted by Nima @nima.shafiani who works as an artist in today's London.
We will meet as a group at the main entrance of The Drawing Room at 1.45pm and the session starts at 2pm.
