Guardian Advocate Baker Act Training

Do you live in Orange or Seminole County and want to make a difference for people recovering in local behavioral health facilities?

Our Guardian Advocate Training gives you the knowledge to ensure Baker Acted patients are treated properly and fairly.This free, four-hour course on patient rights and knowledge of the Baker Act certifies individuals to serve as temporary surrogate decision makers for involuntarily hospitalized client. Those who have attended this training are welcome to interview to be a Guardian Advocate for Baker Acted individuals in their community with no family to act on their behalf.To register, please click the link above or email Sierra at SRoss@mhacf.org.
