This informational webinar is for educators, parents, and chaperones to learn about participating in the Georgia Day Parade 2023.

As part of the annual commemoration of the founding of the Georgia colony on February 12, 1733 by James Edward Oglethorpe, a tradition dating back to the earliest years of the colony’s founding, GHS hosts students, teachers, parents, musicians, local dignitaries, and costumed historical figures marching through Savannah’s historic squares during the annual Georgia Day Parade. During this informational webinar for educators, parents, and chaperones, attendees will learn how to register for the 2023 Georgia Day Parade including sighing up for the classroom banner competition. The program will provide detailed logistical information for parade day, costumes, information about creating and submitting a classroom banner, and grant time for participant Q&amp;A.We are looking forward to the return of this beloved event on Friday, February 10, 2023, in Savannah, Georgia. The Georgia Day Parade and classroom banner competition are open to K-8 classrooms from public, private, charter, and home schools in the coastal region. This webinar event is free to attend but registration is required. It is free to participate in the Georgia Day Parade and classroom banner competition but registration is required.
