Join Professor Gloria Kondrup, HMCT / Archetype Press Executive Director, and Joshue Molina, Archetype Studio Manager, for a tour and hands-on printing of a Social Activism Broadside. Archetype Press, housed under the Hoffmitz Milken Center for Typography [HMCT] at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena offers students, the public, and visiting artists, the opportunity to practice setting type and printing by hand. The Press, now the largest educational letterpress facility in California, was originally established with more than 2,500 cases of rare American and European foundry type, wood type, and ornaments from the collection of renowned L.A. typographer and printer Vernon Simpson.
