Sweet Magic: a workshop + event space by Seagrape

Please scroll down for more information in the notes.*Drawing from &quot;misogi&quot;, an ancient Japanese ritual of cleansing with saltwater, we will learn about the power of connecting with the elements of Water + Earth for cleansing and purification, and how we can utilize this ancient technique for navigating times that are unique to us by connecting with plant spirits for their support, guidance, and refuge. Learn the history of misogi and the cultural context that created it, craft your very own herbal misogi salt, and join a tender community space as we cultivate a deeper relationship with the elements. Please bring:<ul><li>A journal and pen for note-taking</li><li>Anything else you need to get comfortable</li></ul>We will supply all of the materials needed for creating your misogi salts! These salts can be used as a cleansing body scrub, a potent addition to your ritual baths, or as a supportive ally on altars for purification and release. ——————————NOTE:This is an in-person, recorded workshop, with the recording available for purchase separately. All attendees who sign up for an in-person ticket will receive a link to the recording after class. This recording will be available for 30 days after the workshop ends.If you opt to purchase the recording-only ticket, please be aware that you are NOT purchasing attendance to the live, in-person class. Coming from an intrinsically animist, nature-based culture, and having farmed for nearly 7 years, Marika brings her ecological frameworks to the field of energy healing, spirituality, ritual, and embodiment. Marika has been a Reiki practitioner for 10 years, and began her journey into folk herbalism 6 years ago. She currently works with land-based ecological medicines, plant spirits and bodies, energy healing, and more.
