Seeds of Caring

Purchase and/or conduct a donation drive to collect pet food and create pet toys for homebound seniors and pets served by LifeCare Alliance.

Who this Anywhere Project is for:Ages 2-12. Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at programs@seedsofcaring.org.What you&#x27;ll be doing:Help support dogs and cats that provide much needed comfort and companionship to lonely seniors in our community served by<a href="https://www.lifecarealliance.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> LifeCare Alliance</a>&#x27;s <a href="https://www.lifecarealliance.org/programs/senior-petcare/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Senior PetCare</a> program. Children will gain compassion for animals and seniors with an empathy-building exercise and then put helping hands to work by collecting pet food and making pet toys. When you&#x27;ll be doing it:This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are! Donations may be contact-free, porch-dropped October 14-16 at a Seeds of Caring volunteer&#x27;s home (in Dublin, Blacklick) at one of the addresses provided in the service packet. How it all works:Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. If for some reason you cannot access this file, please email programs@seedsofcaring.org for assistance.The meaning-making:Engaging children’s hearts and minds before getting their hands active with service is a vital step in raising caring, compassionate humans. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you&#x27;ll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project&#x27;s guided discussion focuses on senior empathy and animal compassion.Approximate Cost: $10 for supplies (Exact donation needs will be included in the service packet along with a donation drive flyer).Why you&#x27;ll be invited to donate:Every time we&#x27;re able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it&#x27;s with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.
