Slow Flow Sunrise Yoga at Calhoun Flower Farms

We are sisters Susannah and Lillian Calhoun, and along with our mother Diane Bigbee Calhoun, we grow cut flowers in southern Dona Ana County.Thanks to our extended growing season and diverse plantings, we grow a variety of incredibly beautiful, seasonal flowers and foliage that can be picked at the farm (see our many "u-picks") and found in local grocery stores/cafes and florists' shops.

Flow = Rhythmic flows done in sets to maximize a mind-body connection.

<h3>Join us at Calhoun Flower Farms for a 60-minute SUNRISE yoga session led by instructor Carissa Ann.</h3>Arrive at 7:30 am and prepare for your class by walking around our flower farm and getting in touch with nature. The class will begin promptly at 8:00 am and end with a Savasana at 9:00 am.Focus on grounding energy through breathwork and repetition. This class is designed to create an opportunity to deepen the mind-body connection, to break a sweat while focusing on the breath and cultivating a DEEP release.Class will be a series of flow-through sequences, repeated in sets, to be able to get into the body fully; while still hitting muscle isolation, dynamic movement, strength, and conditioning.Be sure to bring your yoga mat and a water bottle to hydrate throughout this session. We will be providing water infused with herbs grown at Calhoun Flower Farms as a cleansing refresher.Please keep in mind that we are a working farm and a healthy farm means an abundance of insect life; there will be pollinators, gnats, and mosquitos. We will provide repellent for you to apply during your visit and will provide citronella candles for your yoga session so that you are able to enjoy the experience fully. We invite you to bring your own if there are particular scents or ingredients you prefer.T﻿his event may be canceled contingent on meeting a minimum number of reservations reached by Friday at 4pm.
