GET THERE EARLY!!!  CHECK-IN OPENS AT 9:00AMBrought to you by <a href="https://www.summahealth.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Summa Health</a> in partnership with <a href="https://www.uakron.edu/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The University of Akron </a>Jon us for an exciting day of mentorship, medical exposure, and networking, as we strengthen the future of healthcare.  Students (BOYS &amp; GIRLS) middle school and up are all welcome! In response to an alarming report that highlighted the decreasing number of black men applying to medical school, we began Black Men In White Coats in 2013. We have worked closely with medical schools, high schools, and physicians to provide inspiration and mentorship to our youth who may be interested in healthcare as a profession. In October 2022, we will continue this work by bringing students (boys &amp; girls) middle school and above together for a summit! Over the course of the day, students will engage in hands-on activities and network with healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds. The goal is to inspire and show them that though not many, there are people who look like them in this field, and if we can do it, they can do it.*****Refreshments will be providedBlack Men In White Coats T-Shirts may be purchased in advance at <a href="https://www.bmwc.store/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">BMWC.store</a> (allow 1 month for delivery)------------------------------------------------------------------------------***By attending the event you agree to have your voice and likeness recorded and distributed for promotional and educational purposes.  Furthermore, all participants under the age of 18 must be registered by their parent or legal guardian.  Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or their designated chaperone while at the summit.
