The Parking Pad was founded in 2021 by Stefan Flower & Amy Kline as a funk, jam and jazz house concert series on a Dormont parking pad.  After 2 summers, 10 house concerts and ~1000 guests they expanded to presenting live music in larger venues. They book the Hollywood Theater, the Dormont VFW, and the aforementioned original house venue: The Parking Pad at 1516 Hillsdale in Dormont.

Formed in late 2017, The Sun Champs, a Pittsburgh-based funk rock band began crafting a unique sound which incorporated rock, funk, blues, jazz, and latin influences. The band consists of blues-rock guitar connoisseur Randall Penn on vocals and guitar, multi-instrumentalist Michael Cerveris on guitar and keys, master jazz enthusiast Gerald Homme on the alto, tenor, and soprano saxophones, and the funk-gospel rhythmic juggernaut pairing of Ryan Black on bass guitar and Jordan Allen on drums. Big Fat Mallard, out of Dormont, PA, is a funk collective known for bringing the party. Formed in 2020 by Band Leader Lee Sifford (Also of Cherry Tree), BFM is known to feature guests on stage and always keeps the crowd guessing what is coming next. Headlined by the superstar duo Melodiq &amp; Kayla on the vocals the band now has ever-growing list of originals and hopes to release a full album in 2023. When you see Big Fat Mallard live, expect to be dancing all night thanks to the silky grooves of Matt Snyder on the Bass Guitar, the expressive percussion of Kyle Kupfer on the Drum Kit, the contagious rhythm of Randy Potter on the Hand Percussion, and the dazzling melodies of Andy Casile on Guitar. Zach Young and Josh David are featured on Trombone and Saxophone and Zach is also known to shred the ivories. Finally, Lee is generally seen hanging around the Organ but can also be found ripping 10-minute guitar solos, smashing the piano like it owes him money or even sometimes leading call and response sections that the band wasn&#x27;t prepared for.
