Our mission is to provide access to high quality art programs, tailored to specific needs for personal growth.Guerilla Poets are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides art, music and poetry/writing programs in shelters, centers, schools and more - from elementary kids to elderly adults.

6 Amazing local artists live paint in the ultimate paint off where  you tell them what to paint! Live musical and spoken word performances.

Charlotte Art League

It&#x27;s going down October 3rd at Charlotte Art League from 7pm-9pm as some of Charlotte&#x27;s most amazing live artists come together for a live paint off like no other, because you, that&#x27;s right YOU, get to tell them what to paint! Each artist will have their own suggestion bucket, and you get to throw your art idea into the hat for them to draw from when the timer hits! The artists will have 1 hour to live paint whatever suggestion they pull while DJ Chocolate Rocket spins! We will also have musical and spoken word performances by:Local HipHop artist Myrt&#x27;s SonMusical performance by Dan BoughtonMusical performance by Daniel Arthur Gurley and Spoken Word performances by Guerilla Poets! (Riot aka Shane Manier, Jah Smalls, Ma Dukes and Nemo Sum!) This event is a fundraiser in support of our art programming for teens, youth and the elderly. So every ticket sold goes to supporting these incredible programs. Your live artists participating in the paint off are:DeNeer DavisShawn Glover Emily Achenbaum Harris L.J. Hill April Lytle Shane Manier All art pieces will be silent auctioned off at the end of the 1 hour period. 70% of money from art sold will go to the artist and 30% will go to fund our art, music and poetry programs in underserved areas.
