Introduction to Buprenorphine Prescribing in Primary Care is developed to support providers who are interested in treating buprenorphine and haven’t yet taken the waiver training.

This didactic training is the first part of a mini-residency program, followed by an individual on-site observation with an experienced faculty preceptor. In-person observation sessions must be scheduled a minimum of 4 weeks in advance by contacting Caroline Drob, Program Assistant. Sessions are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Pre-requisites: Participants must have their waiver or be eligible to obtain their buprenorphine waiver. Those who have not yet applied for their waiver, may do so by completing the Notification of Intent (buprenorphine application).

On-site observation is limited to providers who practice within Philadelphia County
