This “Buyers and Sellers Get Connected” Conference is a unique opportunity for businesses that sell goods and services to connect with buyers that purchase goods and services. The morning will be devoted to helping you better understand how to sell the products and services you offer. Specifically, you'll learn how to:Navigate the eVa System - Necessary if you want to sell to state agencies (including public colleges and universities).Navigate the PING System - Necessary if you want to sell to Chesterfield County (Chesterfield does not use eVa).Do business with the Department of General Services (DGS) - DGS purchases the most diverse range of products / services than any other state agency. Do business with a Fortune 500 Consumer Packaged Goods company - A representative of Altria will describe what it takes to do business with this organization.Lunch is on your own. 35 + restaurants within a 5 mile radius of the Conference Center!Upon returning in the afternoon, you will be given a packet that identifies which organizations (government or private sector) buy what you sell, allowing you to be more efficient as you walk through the exhibit hall. Buyers representing several state agencies / departments, surrounding counties, local cities and some private sector firms will be positioned at designated tables in the exhibit hall waiting for you to stop by to introduce your company.
