20th Annual Walk to Remember/Wave of Light, hosted by Share of Lancaster

Share of Lancaster is a non-profit organization that supports families who have suffered the loss of a baby due to miscarriage, pregnancy complications, prematurity, stillbirth, SIDS, and any other cause. Share is in its 37th year of bringing comfort and understanding to families through every stage of the grief process. We provide programs for bereaved parents including no-cost Share burials, free support groups, a telephone information line, Mother's Day Remembrance Brunch, Walk to Remember, and community education.

This is our 20th Annual Walk to Remember. This will be our second year at Clipper Magazine Stadium and will be hosted by Share of Lancaster.

With more than 40 years of service to those who are in need, bringing comfort and understanding to families through every stage of the grief process, Share of Lancaster invites you to join us for the 20th Annual Walk to Remember/Wave of Light. For families who have suffered a loss, you do not walk alone.Join us in Lancaster City, Saturday, October 22nd — 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m — to honor and remember your babies during Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. Registration opens promptly at 5:00 p.m. *Masks are optional*Registration is free however you must register through EventbriteFree ticket registration is available for this event. You will be able to submit baby names and/or dates, memorial sayings and photographs to be read during the memorial presentation.Please indicate the number of people in your party for attendance. This event is handicap accessible. Please identify during registration if handicap seating during the service will be needed. We may arrange seating accordingly.Our annual event provides an opportunity for families who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss to come together for a time of remembrance. Come with your neighbors, friends, and family as we remember those who were gone too soon, and as we walk together with those parents who have experienced pregnancy and/or early infant loss in support and love. The Event Includes• Checkin and decoration of memorial wooden butterflies• Memorial service by Pastor Rick Bauer• Music by The Sour Grapes and guest musicians• Announcement of names and placement of wooden butterflies on the dugout• Celebration of our babies with a memorial video throughout the service• Walk to remember/wave of light using electric taper candles• You will have the opportunity to customize your own tin candle to take home• Commemorative Book written and decoratedf from our community• Snacks and beverages provided after walkMemorial PresentationThe presentation of names will be held as well as a video presentation. Please submit name(s) and/or date(s) as well as memorial sayings during registration, and/or pictures that you may wish to share in our presentation through email. Please send all information and files to thewalkwithshare@gmail.com. The DEADLINE to submit is Tuesday, October 18th. You will have an opportunity to identify during the online registration the name/dates and memorial sayings. You may also email them to thewalkwithshare@gmail.com.BookletsThis year we will be creating a booklet of your writings, poems, drawings, and children&#x27;s drawings. Also, if you have written a book or blog we would love you to submit a small excerpt from it. All of these submissions need to be sent to thewalkwithshare@gmail.com no later than October 1st.ShirtsThis year you can order your shirt online providing you with various options. Order your shirt as soon as possible so you will have it in time for the walk. A portion of the money from your order will go back to Share of Lancaster.
