[Art by featured artist Traci Mims]<h2>What does AND JUSTICE FOR ALL mean in America today?</h2>Join us for the Opening Day of the AND JUSTICE FOR ALL exhibition as we explore the theme of JUSTICE in all forms: justice for the  earth, its people, animals, people in the legal system, international justice,  and more. What does “and justice for all” really mean in America today?Co-curator Marsha Hatcher reflects on this theme in her curator statement:“…And Justice for ALL”: Those are the final words in the pledge of allegiance to the American flag. Many of us remember that pledge well from school days, right up there with learning the alphabet and our multiplication tables. Every day school was in session, from kindergarten until graduation, I recited it diligently, with hand over heart. It was a proud moment when I could finally remember the words without looking at the board. It was a wake-up call when I finally realized that after all those years of saying “…and justice for ALL,” those words did not include me and did not include certain groups of American citizens. How could a system designed for all omit so many? How could a country that claims to be the best of everything when it comes to fairness and equality not include me and others? So what does “…And Justice for ALL” really mean?At Friday&#x27;s Preview Party, you&#x27;ll hear more from co-curator Marsha Hatcher, along with featured artist Hope McMath of Yellow House who has juxtaposed art and activism for social justice throughout her career, but particularly as the founder of Yellow House. On Saturday, Marsha&#x27;s co-curator, Annelies Dykgraaf (and co-founder of The Art Center Cooperative with Hatcher) will speak, in addition to featured writer Yvette Angelique Hyater-Adams, reading recent work on the theme of JUSTICE.Enjoy community conversations and tours of the AND JUSTICE FOR ALL Exhibition in this historic Riverside home.
