Could a dormant construction site  become a landscape-based forum to discuss the accessibility of locally sourced materials in Slovenia?

The Forbidden Vernaculars Assembly round table &amp; tea ceremony Despite the ecological renaissance which places sustainability at the heart of public ethics, the administrative frameworks in Slovenia still seem to restrain the profileration of regenerative material cultures. As one of the <a href="https://27.bio.si/production-platform/forbidden-vernaculars" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">production platforms</a> of the biennial, the Krater collective, in dialogue with Atelier LUMA and BC Architects, has researched rammed earth architecture and locally sourced building materials. Materials such as clay, wood or straw bales are either imported from abroad, and consequently too expensive for most, or used in construction illegally. As the legislation currently stands, local landscapes seem to appear as forbidden vernaculars.In response to the ongoing environmental crisis, the interdisciplinary team of designers, architects, ecologists, permaculturists and journalists posed an important question: Could a dormant construction site reclaimed by the collective become a landscape-based forum to discuss the accessibility of locally sourced materials in Slovenia?The rich resources of the rewilded site enabled material experimentation with wild clay, invasive plants and gravel as construction materials for building a site-specific rammed earth tea pavilion for BIO27. The new space is set to host a convivial translocal assembly with practitioners and decision-makers who will, during the round table, experience a performative tea ceremony with the herbal tea in wild clay vessels sourced from the urban site. Ob trenutni zakonodaji se tako zdi, da so lokalne krajine obravnavane kot prepovedane vernakularnosti.V odziv na trenutno okoljsko krizo interdisciplinarna skupina oblikovalcev, arhitektov, ekologov, permakulturistov in novinarjev združenih v Kraterju zastavlja pomembno vprašanje: Bi lahko zapuščena gradbena jama, ki so jo v kolektivu ponovno obudili, postala krajinski forum, na katerem bi razpravljali o dostopnosti lokalno pridobljenih materialov v Sloveniji?Bogati viri na ozelenjeni gradbeni jami so omogočili eksperimentiranje z gradbenimi materiali, kot so divja glina, invazivne rastline in gramoz, s katerimi je skupina za BIO27 zgradila čajni paviljon iz zbite zemlje. V njem bodo gostil translokalno srečanje izvajalcev in odločevalcev, ki bodo med omizjem deležni performativnega obreda pitja zeliščnega čaja. Postrežen bo v skodelicah iz divje gline, pridobljene na tem urbanem prostoru.
