No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Your partnership helps make this nonprofit possible.(As a social enterprise, the Hive shares our story with photos of classes and events. Click here to join today.</a></p><h2>Living with Loss: An Exploration of the Grief Recovery Method</h2><h3>Domains: Healing Work, Mapping Tools</h3><p>Recovering from loss, whether physical or emotional, no matter the magnitude, is a challenge. By employing an open mind, as well as activating courage, this difficult task can be tackled. There are many kinds of loss - death, job loss, health, addiction, and divorce often top the list. But, there are other no less significant losses that can impact us in big ways, such as pet death, loss of hope, retirement, loss of faith, loss of fertility, and more. </p><p>This 8-week class, based on the proven Grief Recovery Method® will guide participants through specific actions that will lead to a life beyond loss. Don’t let incomplete grief keep you from a life of happiness. Since a variety of losses is helpful within any Grief Recovery group this course is open to all. (Please note: If you must miss the first week you can absolutely catch up, but nobody can join after the second week.  If you miss more than two sessions in total, you can&#x27;t complete the program with the group, but Carrie is happy to let you rejoin a group that starts later in time OR work with you one to one, depending upon how far you are into the program.)</p><p>After the tragic loss of her husband in 2016, Carrie struggled with the grieving process and found herself suffering from doing &quot;too much&quot;.  She was overworked, overtired, and overextended and this caused her to overlook the importance of self-care.  This lack of soul nurturing led her to her darkest moments before bringing the importance of genuine self-care to light.</p><p>Carrie discovered the Grief Recovery Institute and went through the Grief Recovery Method® , the only evidence-based grief support program in the world.  The impact this experience had on her was so healing and profound, that she became certified to lead others through the method.</p><p>Now Carrie is on a mission to introduce others to the Grief Recovery Method®  to heal from loss.  </p><h3>Covid Considerations: Masks are currently optional at the Hive. Individuals may choose to wear a mask for personal protection, and as always, we ask anyone who is feeling sick or has a high temperature to not attend until they are recovered.
