9/24 Cleanup and Planting at Manhattan Ave Street End

Join us for a plant care and trash pickup event in partnership with Council Member Lincoln Restler and the DSNY.

Manhattan Avenue Street End Park

T﻿he event will focus on plant care and litter abatement at the Manhattan Ave Street End Park (meetup point), as well as cleanup along Commercial Street. Come learn about the pollinator meadow, the value of native plant species, and lend a hand to improve the ecological value of the area by caring for the plants and removing street litter (thus preventing it from washing into our sewers or blowing into the Creek). Gloves, shovels, trash bags, and all other necessary materials will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water, sun protection and wear outdoor clothing and closed-toed shoes. T﻿his event is being run in coordination with Councilmember Lincoln Restler, with materials and trash pickup provided by DSNY.
