The topics covered will include:Preparing ahead for an efficient slaughter dayKnife sharpeningHumane killingScaldingPlucking by mechanical methods as well as by handGuttingCleaningParting out a birdShrink packagingSanitary cleanupWe recommend bringing your own sharp knife but we will have a few available for workshop use. We think a 6” boning knife like this is best https://rb.gy/a6i6gc. Drinks, snacks, and lunch will be provided and each participant will go home with two chickens that they have processed themselves. Please contact us for options if you want to attend but the cost is prohibitive.The workshop will be held outdoors, rain or shine, under canopies.
