We will cover basics of tone production, practice techniques, new licks and tunes, and whatever areas the class would like covered. Betsy Engelhardt, West Groves, PAScott Hopkins lives in the Capital region of NY and is a 3-finger banjoist influenced by bluegrass, old-time, and jazz. He is member of the world-renowned super-band The McKrells and has his own group The Scott Hopkins Jazz Trio. Scott received a bachelors of music education degree from Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and a masters degree of music education from the University of Connecticut. He teaches music in the NYS public school system, privately, and at various banjo, bluegrass and jam camps.
