本論壇邀請前經濟部次長林聖忠顧問及藥華製藥林國鐘執行長分享臺灣科技及生技的發展與機會。林聖忠顧問演說將著眼於中美對抗下，台灣科技和產業發展所面臨的挑戰與因應，以及臺灣如何與波士頓地區的重點產業連結。林國鐘博士將分享其在台灣建立一個全球性、全方位營運的生技新藥公司的寶貴經驗與心得。

<h3>【臺灣科技暨生技產業論壇】</h3><h3>▶️ Time: September 10th, 2 pm - 5 pm, Saturday</h3><h3>▶️ Location: Harvard University, Science Center, Hall A (1 Oxford St, Cambridge, MA, 02138)</h3><h3>臺灣科技暨生技產業論壇榮幸邀請前經濟部次長林聖忠顧問及藥華製藥林國鐘執行長分享臺灣科技及生技的發展與機會。林聖忠顧問演說內容將會著眼於在中美對抗下，台灣科技和產業發展所面臨的挑戰與因應，以及臺灣如何與波士頓地區的重點產業連結。林國鐘博士將分享其在台灣建立一個全球性、全方位營運的生技新藥公司的寶貴經驗與心得，兩位講者除了是台灣產業界的重量級人物，也曾在波士頓長居服務，對臺美兩地皆有深入的觀察與了解，他們豐富的經驗將能帶給業界或創業者啟發與鼓勵。</h3><h3>本活動由新英格蘭大波士頓臺灣商會 (TCCNE) 與玉山科技協會 (MJNE) 主辦，紐英崙中華專業人員協會 (NEACP)、波士頓臺灣人生物科技協會 (BTBA) 和哈佛台灣學生會 (HTSA) 協辦。活動免費、名額有限額滿為止，歡迎報名參加! </h3><h3></h3><h3>▶️ Keynote Speakers:</h3><h3>🎤 Sheng-Chung Lin Consultant 林聖忠顧問</h3><h3>❖ Title: The challenges faced by Taiwan&#x27;s technology and industrial development under tensions between China and the United States </h3><h3>在中美對抗下，台灣科技和產業發展所面臨的挑戰、臺美關係的變化影響</h3><h3>❖ 簡介: 林聖忠顧問曾任波士頓商務組組長，期間推動了新英格蘭台商會和玉山科技協會的成立。回台後曾任經濟部次長、中油公司董事長，目前仍為工商協進會顧問。</h3><h3></h3><h3>🎤Ko-Chung Lin, Ph.D., 林國鐘博士, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of PharmaEssentia</h3><h3>❖ Title: A journey to build a fully integrated global biopharmaceutical company in Taiwan</h3><h3>在台灣建立一個全球性全方位營運生技新藥公司</h3><h3>❖ 簡介: 藥華藥執行長兼創辦人林國鐘博士，新藥研發三十多年經驗，獲六十餘項藥物專利，其中多項產品獲美國FDA核准。近期藥華藥研發新藥Besremi (Ropeginterferon alfa-2b)，取得美國FDA、瑞士等多國藥證，將積極擴廠以再創台灣生技業高峰。</h3><h3>林博士曾任 Monsanto-Searle 集團總部科技創新中心的新藥研發部首席科學家；後又受聘於波士頓 Biogen 新藥研發部組長及計畫主持人，研發能力備受國際產學肯定。2000年響應兩兆雙星產業政策，為第一批返台引領國家重大計劃的歸國學人。2003年公司正式成立營運。藥華藥在林博士率領下，其蛋白質新藥 GMP 製造廠是台灣首家取得歐洲藥物管理局 (EMA)、美國 FDA 等國 GMP 證書。致力 PV 等血液腫瘤疾病新藥的研發及產銷，獲國際推崇。</h3><h3>【Taiwan Technology and Biotechnology Industry Forum】</h3><h3>Taiwan Technology and Biotechnology Industry Forum invite Dr. Sheng-Chung Lin, the former Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs of Taiwan, and Dr. Ko-Chung Lin, the CEO and founder of PharmaEssentia, to share their invaluable experiences. In addition to their respective fields of expertise, the two distinguished speakers had previously worked in Boston and are knowledgeable about the industries in both Taiwan and the United States. Dr. Sheng-Chun Lin&#x27;s talk will focus on Taiwan&#x27;s technological progress and challenges amid rising tensions between China and the United States, with insight into how Taiwanese people in the United States can navigate these new developments. Dr. Ko-Chung Lin will share his journey in building a fully integrated global biopharmaceutical company in Taiwan.</h3><h3>The event is hosted by the Greater Boston Taiwan Chamber of Commerce New England (TCCNE), Mountain Jade of New England (MJNE), and co-organized by the New England Association of Chinese Professionals (NEACP), the Boston Taiwanese Biotechnology Association (BTBA), and the Harvard GSAS Taiwan Student Association (HTSA).</h3><h3>❖ Speaker:</h3><h3>🎤 Sheng-Chung Lin ConsultantSheng-Chung Lin was formerly the leader of the Boston business group, during which he promoted the establishment of the New England Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and the Monte Jade Science and Technology Association of New England. After returning to Taiwan, he served as Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Chairman of CNPC. He currently remains a consultant to the National Association of Industry and Commerce. </h3><h3>🎤 Dr. Ko-Chung Lin, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of PharmaEssentia</h3><h3>Dr. Lin has more than 30 years of experience in pioneering drug research and development, and more than 60 drug patents, many of which have been approved by the US FDA. Recently, PharmaEssentia has developed the new drug Besremi (Ropeginterferon alfa-2b), which has obtained US FDA, Switzerland, and other multinational drug certificates. Dr. Lin was the Chief Scientist of the R&amp;D Department of the Science and Technology Innovation Center of the Monsanto-Searle Group; he was later employed as the team leader and program host of the R&amp;D Department of Biogen in Boston. In 2000, he responded to the governmental Two Trillion, Twin Star plan and was among the first batch of scholars to return to Taiwan to lead major national plans. In 2003, the company was officially established and in operation. Under Dr. Lin’s leadership, PharmaEssentia&#x27;s new protein drug GMP manufacturing plant is the first in Taiwan to obtain GMP certificates from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the US FDA.
