Hi, it’s Matthew and Sarah, and we love, love LOVE performing together, and for you.(because an audience of fab people who enjoy this music as much as we do, tapping and humming along, is the key ingredient to a cabaret)Though we’re are originally from Florida and Iowa, we loved Cincinnati so much we decided to stick around after graduating and call it home. Queen City Cabaret is a celebration of everything we love about Cincy and its music scene—the amazing musical history, the culture, the diversity, and--most importantly--the people. Every concert we produce has a Queen City connection, be it the music performed or the artists on the stage. If you love classic pop, jazz, rock, musical theatre, or even just great stories and good drinks, we’d love to have you join us on our musical adventure.

Join Cincinnati's own <a href="https://www.queencitycabaretcincy.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Queen City Cabaret</a> and <a href="https://www.cincinnatisonginitiative.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cincinnati Song Initiative</a> for an extraordinary concert of timeless songs from America's mid-20th century.The evening will feature performances of vintage popular music and jazz standards by QCC's own Sarah Folsom and Matthew Umphreys with vocalist Mandy Gaines and pianist Steve Schmidt.The phrase "Great American Songbook" often describes music from the first half of the 20th century that seems to transcend the era in which it was written. <a href="https://thesongbook.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Great American Songbook Foundation</a> describes these songs as collection of "enduring standards, the songs that are played and sung over and over by multiple generations....(they) have a timeless meaning and resonance, whether they are days or decades old." Presented at Cincinnati's historic <a href="https://www.facebook.com/LibertyExhibitionHall/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Liberty Exhibition Hall</a>, this evening of songs and sentiment is expected to sell out, so reserve your tickets today!
