Join Word is Bond for our inaugural In My Shoes 5K Community Walk to create space for Black stories while promoting wellness & safety .

NW Naito Parkway

WIB is hosting a 5K community walk through North Portland to celebrate the rich legacy of the Black community of Albina, promote wellness, and to share ideas for an equitable future where Black communities are restored and uplifted.Along the walk, there will be five “Community Circles” featuring different voices including elders, youth, community organizations, and elected leaders as we pause and reflect on future city development plans. The walk concludes at Peninsula Park with a cookout, organization tabling, and the unveiling of the Word is Bond portrait gallery, &quot;If I ruled the world.&quot; Visit our website: https://www.mywordisbond.org/inmyshoes
