The Brainiacs Book Club Session: 3rd to 5th Grade

Burst Into Books! is a leveled reading organization that is geared towards children from ages 6 months to 18 years old. Your child will develop a love for literature through reading circles, book clubs and family centered events. Once a month, six book clubs will meet that are grouped by age (i.e. 6 months to 3 years old; 4 - 7 years old; 8 - 10 years old; and 11 - 13 years old; and high school). Each group is led by an experienced educator that will help each child engage with the text through multiple ways.

<p>Children participate in group discussions and debates about the focus book of the month. Instructor challenges participants to make connections to previous text and real life experiences. Extensive activities which include writing, reader’s theater and art expression are incorporated in the book sessions to help children demonstrate their understanding of the text. Also, there is a guest who is connected to literacy present at each book club session too.</p>
