We've Got This!A FREE monthly support group for resources and help for survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse and trafficking. IF you are a close family member or friend of a victim/survivor, you may attend as well. Lead by survivor Caroline LubasA domestic violence support group is a place where individuals who have experienced domestic violence can come together to share their stories, provide support for one another, and learn about resources and options for healing and recovery. The group is typically led by a trained facilitator who can provide guidance and support for the participants. The group will offer a safe and confidential space for individuals to share their experiences, emotions and feelings. Participants can gain insight from others who have been in similar situations, learn about different coping mechanisms and ways to stay safe. The group may also provide information about legal and medical resources, as well as information about shelters and other forms of assistance. The group may also provide educational sessions on topics such as healthy relationships, communication skills and self-care. Many times, the group is designed to help individuals rebuild their self-esteem and self-worth, and to empower them to take control of their lives.
