The New York State Broadband Program Office is pleased to host the State's Third Annual Broadband Summit. Gaining recognition as the leading conference on broadband for communities, counties, and regions across New York State, this year's event has been expanded to a day and a half, and will take place on June 11, and half-day morning session on June 12, 2015 in Albany, NY.

We are especially excited about our 2015 Broadband Summit, which will highlight Governor Andrew M. Cuomo's New NY Broadband Program - a $1 billion program designed to leverage both public and private resources to ensure every New Yorker has access to high-speed Internet by 2019. This program represents the largest and boldest State investment in universal broadband deployment in the country. This year's summit will be especially important to highlight the New NY Broadband Program.

In keeping with tradition, the Annual Broadband Summit will also include presentations, as well as in-depth panel discussions that address overcoming barriers to deployment and utilization; highlight new and emerging technologies, and demonstrate best practices.

Again this year, we will be recognizing New York's extraordinary broadband leaders during a special Awards Dinner and Ceremony on June 11. Due to its popularity last year, awards will be presented in seven categories this year: The Broadband Leadership Award; Most Innovative Broadband Project; Most Collaborative Broadband Project; Best Broadband Adoption Project; The Economic Leadership Award; Extraordinary Broadband Team Award (New!); and Most Collaborative Broadband Adoption Initiative/Program Award (New!). We encourage you to nominate yourself, your team, or someone you know who has helped shape the broadband landscape in New York State. Applications for submitting nominations are currently available at http://nysbroadband.ny.gov/champion-awards-2015.

In the upcoming weeks, additional information on the agenda will be made available. For further information, please contact: Kaitlyn McCann at (518) 292-5238 or kaitlyn.mccann@esd.ny.gov.
