Join us for the 3rd Annual Louise Munday Community Walk on May 16th, a community event that not only honors the memory of Louise Munday but also brings our community together in the spirit of health, remembrance, and unity. This year we have a new route starting at Oasis Park in Pomeroy, WA. This walk is not just a physical activity but a journey through the landmarks of a life lived with love, passion, and community spirit.
The walk is set to begin with registration at 5:00 PM, providing an opportunity for community members to gather, share stories of Louise, and prepare for the walk ahead. In a gesture of appreciation and remembrance, the first 150 participants to register will receive commemorative shirts, sponsored by Garfield County Public Health and Garfield County Memorial Hospital.
The route will conclude at the Garfield County Memorial Hospital, with dinner sponsored by Garfield County Hospital District. As we walk from Oasis Park to the hospital, passing by the locations dear to Louise, we do more than just trace her steps; we keep her spirit alive in our hearts and our community. This walk is an open invitation to all who wish to celebrate Louise's life, reflect on the beauty of communal support, and take a step together towards a healthier, more connected community.
