About this event

  • 4 hours

The event consists of Kid-friendly, family bike-riding fun, with two routes -- a shorter and a longer cycling route winding through the Meadow Vista area. The routes are slightly modified from last year's event.

In addition to the beautiful trails, the Poker Ride feature of this event offers a chance for some cool prizes. Playing cards will be handed out along each route, and the top hands will be prize winners. You don't need to be a real poker player to win (no bluffing); each hand will judged on its best possible score.

Entry fee includes pre-Ride coffee and pastries, and post-Ride pizza and soft drinks.

Route Maps will be posted SOON!

How easy are the rides?

Route #1 is an easy route, ridden at a leisurely group pace and designed to be suitable for less experienced cyclists. The route covers approximately 9 miles and has a small amount of optional dirt road with the rest of the ride on paved, low-traffic roads. There are some ups and downs, but overall not too difficult. This route is friendly for all bike types.

Route #2 is approximately 15 miles designed to be suitable for more experienced cyclists. This ride is a combination of trails/canal trails and paved roads. Expect a little climbing here and there, with KOM/QOM prizes in the same location as last year (only people-powered bikes are eligible.) This route is more suited for gravel or MTBs.

Both routes are part of the Poker Ride! A total of five cards will be dealt to each rider during the event with prizes for the top winning hands. Don't like the hand you were dealt? Not to worry! You can draw up to two more cards for a donation of $5.00. One bonus Draw per hand!

E-bikes are welcome on both rides. The paved sections will have some traffic, so please keep on the right-hand side of road sections , be safe and abide by bicycle safety rules of the road

What should I wear? Please wear whatever you feel comfortable riding in, keeping an eye on the weather forecast to determine what you should bring: a jacket, gloves, sunscreen, etc. A bike helmet is mandatory .

What should I bring? Some of the basic equipment you may wish to consider would include a spare inner tube, a bike pump, basic repair kit and drinks.

Departure times: After the riders meeting there is no set start time.

The CUT OFF for starting either route is 11:30 AM.
