Free Shakespeare workshop: try on a costume &amp; be part of a mini-performance!  For all ages.

Always wondered how actors turn a play into a performance? Join us in the Ten Broeck Mansion Gardens and learn the art of theater! Work with talented actors from Confetti Stage to learn warm-up techniques, how actors get into character, and turn words on a page into art - the art of theater. Try on a few costumes and join in our staging of a short scene from Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream. All ages welcome - children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Workshop in the gardens of the Ten Broeck Mansion, 9 Ten Broeck Place, Albany, on Saturday August 27 from 1:00-2:30 pm. Be sure to <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/399102515367">reserve your tickets</a> for the performance by the Capital Repertory immediately following the workshop. Rain date Sunday August 28 from 1-2:30. Confetti Stage is a Capital District nonprofit theater group founded in 2004. The Ten Broeck Mansion was built in 1798 for Abraham and Elizabeth Ten Broeck. The ACHA was founded in 1942 to preserve, present, promote, and interpret the stories of the rich and diverse history and culture of Albany County. Its four-acre museum site includes the Mansion, gardens, and exhibit and gallery space at King's Place.
