在忙碌的工作與家庭活動間，我們如何可以減少高血壓、高血糖、高血脂的可能性?如果已經有三高的現象、中醫有哪些緩解以及治療的方法?我們請到李宗恩博士來為灣區的朋友講解相關的問題。

膽固醇是什麼？膽固醇是人體中非常重要的成分，每個細胞都需要，用來建構保護膜、新陳代謝、產生能量等，人體缺乏膽固醇更會導致荷爾蒙、性功能、骨骼、消化、神經等方面的嚴重問題。那麼，人們為什麼那麼擔心膽固醇過高？
LDL是什麼？LDL不是膽固醇，是低密度脂蛋白，負責把肝臟製造的膽固醇帶到身體各處，沒有了LDL， 就無法運送膽固醇到各個細胞，細胞即會死亡。那麼，人們為什麼把LDL叫做「壞的膽固醇」，非常擔心驗血報告中的LDL數值？而為什麼最新醫學研究顯示，LDL偏高的年長者，平均壽命卻高於LDL偏低的年長者？
高血脂、高血糖、高血壓，所謂「三高」的數值到底代表什麼？李宗恩中醫師將從西醫數值的角度進入主題，討論三高的意義，及人們對三高的許多誤解，再從中醫及臨床治療的角度來交互探討如何面對及治療高血脂、高血糖、高血壓，期待聽眾能得到正確的觀念，並以正面的方式避免或面對人人害怕的「三高」問題。
