An annual festival celebrating arts and activism across Greenwich Village and the East Village. In 2024 the festival will run from Sept 14 through Sept 28. The program will feature folk, rock, jazz, and classical and new music, as well as literature, tours, talks, comedy, food and more. David has known them all, played with them all – among them Charles Mingus, Dizzy Gillespie, Lionel Hampton, Oscar Pettiford, and Pete Seeger.David Amram and Jack Kerouac brought jazz/poetry to New York City, playing at the Five Spot and the Circle in the Square. He has composed music for Joseph Papp, Leonard Bernstein and Arthur Miller. And he has traveled the world, the greatest of musical ambassadors.
