Modern Times shines a spotlight on Dean Norton; one of Australia’s most exciting emerging furniture designers. Dean Norton creates handcrafted limited production work that is thoughtful, evocative and finished with utmost consideration to detail and aesthetics. Through an exhibition and talk <a href="https://www.moderntimes.com.au/exhibition/dean-norton/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dean Norton: Deeply Considered Design</a> offers a deep insight into Norton’s practice - showcasing his most exceptional designs from the Daylight and Daylight Forever lamps, Moodlum, and Containa series, alongside never-before-seen prototypes, sketches and studio elements presented within the exhibition space. Join us for the Designer Talk on Saturday October 8th, where Dean – in conversation with Modern Times director, Amy Malin – will expand on his practice and the work presented in the exhibition.Learn how Norton’s career as an interior designer informs his practice, how materials form the basis of his inspiration, and how Norton utilises form and finish to create dynamic interactions with the surrounding space.In just the five short years since Dean launched his own design studio, his work has captured the attention of the global design community and appreciators alike.
