Walk on the Wild Side: Lou Reed's New York Walking Tour with Jesse Rifkin

An annual festival celebrating arts and activism across Greenwich Village and the East Village. In 2024 the festival will run from Sept 14 through Sept 28. The program will feature folk, rock, jazz, and classical and new music, as well as literature, tours, talks, comedy, food and more. <p>Jesse Rifkin takes look at Reed’s life and music – both with The Velvet Underground and as a solo artist – as well as the geographic and historical contexts from which he emerged. We’ll see significant residences, performance venues, practice spaces, and recording studios from throughout Reed’s career, as well as sites related to key collaborators and peers like John Cale, Nico, Andy Warhol, David Bowie, Candy Darling, Paul Morrissey, and Walter De Maria.</p>
