A crafting pop-up with artist Donna Castellanos

Join the Portrait Gallery for a sip-and-craft pop-up in the museum’s courtyard. Facilitated by artist Donna Castellanos, this program will encourage non-artists and creatives to find sources of inspiration through art and crafting while exploring contemporary works from the museum’s Triennial Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition. In the spirit Castellanos&#x27;s Bertha, I’d like to know where you got the notion, now on view in The Outwin 2022: American Portraiture Today, work with vintage sewing &quot;notions,&quot; salvaged textiles, and trims to create a portrait that has meaningful layers of history, reflective of someone close to you. The program is $20, which covers two drink tickets for wine, beer, and/or a craft drink from the museum’s café. All materials and supplies are included, but feel free to bring your own fabric swatches, and sewing &quot;notions,&quot; too.The Portrait Gallery strives to provide programs that are accessible to all visitors.
