We empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds. Check back frequently, as we post new service opportunities on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Seeds of Caring

Kids learn the importance of self-kindness, then share their kindness with kids staying at CHOICES thru Fall Fun kits and affirmation cards.

Who this anywhere service project is for: Ages 6 - 12.Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at programs@seedsofcaring.org What you&#x27;ll be doing: Children will explore what it means to be kind to ourselves through age-appropriate discussion and creating self affirmations. Helping hands will then share that kindness by packing 10+ fall fun snack kits and making cheer cards for kids staying at <a href="https://lssnetworkofhope.org/choices/about-us/staff/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">CHOICES</a> for victims of domestic violence. When you&#x27;ll be doing it:This anywhere service project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are! This project is on-going. Families and groups may participate anytime until the project ends on October 3tst. Donations may be contact-free, porch-dropped from 9am - 7pm October 28-30 at a Seeds of Caring volunteer&#x27;s home in Dublin or Westerville at the address provided in the service packet. OR drop donations October 31st at the Seeds of Caring home office in Worthington. How it all works:Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. If for some reason you cannot access this file, please email programs@seedsofcaring.org for assistance.The meaning-making: Engaging children’s hearts and minds before getting their hands active with service is a vital step in raising caring, compassionate humans. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you&#x27;ll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project&#x27;s guided discussion focuses on self- kindness.Approximate Cost: $15 for 5+ Fall Fun Snack Kits (includes candy, snack and fidget toy). For the cheer card use craft supplies on hand or the printable templates provided in the service packet!Why you&#x27;ll be invited to donate:Every time we&#x27;re able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it&#x27;s with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.
