NWSRA provides outstanding opportunities through recreation for children and adults with disabilities.  In cooperation with 17 member Park Districts located in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, NWSRA delivers over 2,000 recreational programs annually.  Participants have fun, make friends, are included, go new places, learn new things and celebrate their lives in NWSRA programs.If you are interested in applying for employment with NWSRA, please visit www.nwsra.org/jobs. Join us for the unveiling of the Vogelei House at the Hoffman Estates Park District!

Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) is both excited and proud to announce the completion of its sixth programming space at the Hoffman Estates Park District’s Vogelei House. Transforming this 1900’s three-story farm house into a fully accessible programming space was no small endeavor. To ensure the accessibility and safety of all those who will call this space home the floor plan was opened, an elevator was added, and a towering two-story accessible ramp was constructed. NWSRA will utilize this space for a number of program offerings including walking clubs, Saturday programs, special events, book clubs, afternoon enrichment and more. In addition to the Vogelei House acting as a programming space for the Hoffman Estates region, it will also be home to the Hoffman Estates PURSUIT Community Adult Day Program. NWSRA is hosting an open house to allow everyone the opportunity to see this space for themselves. This open house will take place August 23 from 4-8pm.
