The Dance Complex continues to celebrate our eclectic Dance Community with the ninth annual Festival of Us, You, We & Them!

As before, the community at large is invited to sample new movement styles, engage in conversation, and witness and interact with performances.For this year’s Festival of Us, You, We &amp; Them, we will offer two and half days of classes, discussions, celebrations and performance at Starlight Square. Please check the Starlight Square Events page for other events throughout the weekend.SUNDAY, JULY 31Class: Magic Through Movement with StoneWorks Productions (1-2PM)Stoneworks Productions will lead a community dance class based on movement material from their fantasy story ballet THE QUEEN OF NÖRI. The class is intended for people of any movement experience level--come learn how to make magic and cast spells through movement!Class: African Traditional Workout with Jean Appolon Expressions (2-3PM)Mcebisi Xotyeni and Buyile Narwele of Jean Appolon Expressions, a contemporary dance company rooted in Haitian-folkloric culture, will co-teach an all levels dance class utilizing both recorded and live drumming. This class is accessible for all movers.Class: Exhale with The Click (3-4PM)“Exhale with The Click” is a mindful movement series designed for all bodies and movers. Pulling members of The Click&#x27;s collective experiences as somatic practitioners and contemporary dancers, the class will offer rest for the mind, release for the body, and an opportunity to connect the two through a combination of guided improvisations, center technique combinations, and community-built micro-choreographies.
