The Sanctuary at Red Bell Run

Read with Rescues is a program for K-5th Graders hosted by Red Bell Run

Meet and read to some of our rescued miniature horses at Red Bell Run on Saturday, December 3rd from 1:30-3:00pm. Students K-5th grade are invited to bring their favorite books or choose from our library and read to our miniature horses. Registered participants read for 20-30 minutes, followed by a monitored hands-on experience with the equines and a fun game or craft in our beautiful new pavilion. Daphne is our featured rescue for the Fall 2022 series. Each child will receive a Daphne bookmark and Read with Rescues T-shirt for the fall series.

A parent or guardian is asked to remain on site while children are in attendance and must sign a liability waiver for their child. Children are required to wear close toed shoes or boots. Program is limited to 12 participants with advance registration required through Eventbrite. Participants will be under the supervision of our staff and volunteers who have strong backgrounds in education. This event is free, but donations are always welcomed and appreciated. More information may be obtained by calling the Red Bell Run office at 828-863-2017.
