This series will provide information on both water bath canning and pressure canning.

We are offering a 3-part series that will teach you how to do both water bath canning and pressure canning.Series Schedule:Class 1: Saturday, August 6th, 9am-noon - Canning preserves from fruit that is in season.Class 2: Saturday, September 10th, 9am-noon - Pressure canning carrots.Class 3: Saturday, October 1st, 9am-noon - Pressure canning either a vegetable or meat.This class will cost $25 per household for all three sessions. Your registration for class on August 6 will cover all three classes and we encourage you to attend the entire series. Limit: 10 people.You will learn about food safety and canning as well as the difference between the two different types of canning processes. You will take home resources, recipes and a meat thermometer.The series will take place at the UF/IFAS Extension Hillsborough County office at: 5339 County Road 579, in Seffner.
