In addition to performing the compositions of Raney, the duo delves into classic swing and bebop composers Joe Puma, Ted Dunbar, Frank Foster, Frank Wess, and Thelonious Monk.General admission tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Students with ID $10 at the door only.Both guitarists bring their warm, rich tones and swinging sensibilities together to create an intimate and warm atmosphere of two like minds sharing the joy of improvisation, groove, harmony, and melodic invention.Sheryl Bailey recently moved to Boston from NYC to become the Assistant Chair of the Berklee Guitar Department. While in Boston, Sheryl has has performed with George Garzone, the Bob Nieske 6, Allan Chase, Noah Preminger and Jason Palmer. She also leads her organ trio The Sheryl Bailey 3, a band that has released several albums and toured in China, Canada, Europe and the US. She has also toured and recorded with the Anat Cohen Tentet, Richard Bona, Lea Delaria, and David Krakauer.Boston guitar legend, Jon Wheatley has recorded with Ruby Braff, Gordon Brisher, Herb Pomeroy, and Daryl Sherman, and has several recordings and guitar books under his own name. He is a Professor at Berklee and UMass Lowell.Note that due to the ongoing COVID situation attendees will be asked to remain masked during the performance.
