Rest for Resistance

A monthly meeting for anyone who is LGBTQ2SIA + BIPOC and would like to participate in planning QTPoC Meditations

In these planning meetings, we will discuss logistics for the QTPoC Meditation group hosted by Rest for Resistance: Who is holding space for the upcoming virtual meditation(s), how are we gathering and allocating resources to support these gatherings, and who has the capacity for community caretaking and outreach?This sangha (community who meditates together) is committed to transformative justice. We aim to witness harm, address harm, and transform harm through reconciliation, reparations, and/or resolution. To achieve peace, calm, and wellbeing, individually and collectively, we must gain support to face the difficulties on our paths.------You must be a member of both LGBTQ2SIA+ and BIPOC communities to join. For short, we use the acronym QTPoC for queer and trans people of color; this sangha began with this name in 2015, meeting at Brooklyn Community Pride Center.Each meeting provides space for community to share ideas, concerns, and energy to co-create QTPoC Meditation events.
