Want to learn more about common chemical exposures and how to avoid them to keep you and your family safe? Common chemicals addressed include BPA, phthalates, pesticides, and hormones. Practical tips are provided for limiting exposure to these chemicals including eating plant-based foods. Participants will participate in discussions, enjoy a cooking demonstration of 3 recipes that avoid environmental chemicals and cook along with the instructor if they would like. Pre-registration is required. Early bird and buddy discounts are available. Food for Life is a community-based nutrition education program of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM). PCRM is a nonprofit organization of doctors and laypersons working together for compassionate and effective medical practice, research, and health promotion.FAQsWhat is the location for the class? The Long Island class will be offered via zoom.
