Since 1996, The Lake Shore (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has provided holistic solutions to social and economic problems in communities on Chicago’s Westside. Our primary goal is to provide educational, cultural, and financial support to enrich the lives of families and underserved youth. Annually, the chapter raises funds for college scholarships, mentoring, and cultural enrichment programs, for underserved youth. The Lake Shore (IL) Chapter also provides health fairs, career development programs, and other initiatives designed to improve the quality of life for families.This candid and engaging conversation with award winning journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones will be moderated by Joy Bivins, Director of the Schaumburg Center for Research in Black Culture.Please RSVP for the event or make a donation to support the award-winning programs of The Lake Shore (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.This Fundraiser is held in conjunction with The Links Foundation, Incorporated to support charitable and educational programs of The Lake Shore (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. The Links Foundation, Incorporated is a non-profit corporation operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended. The amount of the contribution that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the excess of any money (and the value of any property other than money) contributed by the donor over the fair market value (FMV) of goods or services provide by the charity. The estimated FMV of goods and services provided for donations of $500-$999 is $32. The estimated FMV for donations of $1000-$2999 is $64. The estimated FMV for donations of $3000-$4999 is $96. The estimated FMV for donations of $5000 or more is $160.
