Middle of the Road: Navigating Mid-Career Changes and Growth

The Women's Environmental Network creates and empowers a community of women working to protect the environment. For over two decades, WEN has created a community of women in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond to enhance stewardship of the environment through networking, career building and leadership development. WEN engages more than 2,000 community members whose interests range from environmental education and conservation to public policy and renewable energy and whose professions span the nonprofit, academic, public, and private sectors.

This career panel will be geared toward those at a career midpoint: no longer newbies, but not quite on the executive floor (yet).

<p>So your days of being a coffee-fetching intern or toiling away as an entry-level associate are long-past, but the dream of that perfect corner office is still far off. You&#x27;ve reached a level of security in your knowledge and you&#x27;re what many would call a &quot;journey-level&quot; professional. But what next? Keep climbing the career ladder? Take a step back, or perhaps an unforeseen left turn? You&#x27;re in the middle of the road. </p><p>Join us for an interactive career panel on navigating next steps once attaining the comfortability of mid-careership with panelists representing the public, nonprofit, and private sectors: </p><ul><li>Alice Kinner: Administrative Director, Public Affairs and Community Engagement at Alameda Health System</li><li>Roxana Bekemohammadi: Founder and Executive Director of United States Hydrogen Alliance</li><li>Maura Kenner: Program Manager, Science Publications at Amazon</li></ul>
