A Day In Japan - 3 events: August 5/6 at The People's Building in the Aurora Cultural Arts District.

The Pacific Rim Cultural Exchange, Aurora Sister Cities International - Japan Committee, and the Aurora Office of International and Immigrant Affairs invite you to this free celebration of Japanese culture at The People's Building in the Aurora Cultural Arts District. ~ 🎎See a collection of beautifully hand-crafted Sakura dolls made by Hatsue Omoto in the 1950s. Also called “Shin Nihon Ningyo,” New (style) Japanese dolls.~ 👘View a collection of Ise katagami (伊勢型紙), which is the Japanese craft of making paper stencils for dyeing textiles (katagami (型紙).
