Join us for this FREE psychic salon led by Ylva Mara and Kiki Robinson where we'll explore techniques for ancestral & spirit communication!

Join The Living Altar for a casual psychic salon to explore and develop techniques with ancestral communication. We will discuss basic techniques of accessing the ancestral field for the purpose of honoring and communicating with ancestors and helping spirits. We will also engage in a number of psychic exercises and games that will invigorate, stretch, and entice your mediumship muscles!! This gathering will be salon styled gathering in the virtual plane, led by Kiki Robinson and Ylva Mara Radziszewski via Zoom. We recommend preparing by tending your ancestral altars, and ask that you arrive grounded and with an invitation for your curiosity to be present. We welcome participation on any level you feel comfortable; this gathering is for intermediate witchy babes, and a foundational spiritual cosmology and personal relationship with magic will be helpful. A powerful way to learn is through experience. The general structure of our Ancestral psychic salon will include the following objectives outlined below:<ul><li>Basic energetic clearing and grounding techniques </li><li>A circle casting to ensure we are working safely</li><li>An honoring of the ancestors</li><li>A brief discussion on ancestral mediumship topics to prepare us for the exercises</li></ul>The second half of our gathering will be spent engaging a variety of exercises to connect and communicate with the ancestral field.This is a FREE event for all! About the Instructors:The Living Altar, is the project of multimedia ritual artists Kiki Robinson (right) and Ylva Mara Radziszewski (left); creators of The Living Altar Oracle Deck. As queer, trans &amp; gender non-binary, femme witches and descendants of the Romani diaspora, we dedicate our work to a faithless devotion of collective liberation. We view the work of the modern Witch to nurture and facilitate hope in the world while also disrupting and dismantling oppressive systems born of kyriarchal meritocracy, settler-colonialism, white supremacy, &amp; cis gender-hetero patriarchy. As American Roma who benefit from privilege rooted in colorism and assimilation, we also commit to a personal tending of this disruption and dismantling within ourselves. My first love of magic came through art of many mediums including printmaking, dance and performance art, and my intention is to embody healing and magic through my Creative Spirit. I live on unceded traditional lands of the Multnomah, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla, and bands of Chinook, now called Portland, OR. My work in the world involves assisting in healing and liberation within collective, disrupting systems of oppression, and bringing forth transformation through creative modalities. I am deeply committed to community healing and magical activism. I’m a white person of Polish, Romani, and Ashkenazi ancestry. My ritual and art practice are intrinsically woven together; I believe that magic is art and that art is healing. Through art as ritual I attempt to ground my experience living within diaspora as someone who also lives with Dissociative Identity Disorder, CPTSD, Autism, and chronic illness from Stage 3 Lyme Disease.
