The Austin Group Psychotherapy Society is an interdisciplinary organization of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and counselors who share a mutual commitment to continuing professional development and to excellence in the practice of group psychotherapy.Over the past decade, the Austin Group Psychotherapy Society (AGPS) has gained national recognition for the quality of our training opportunities and the warmth and enthusiasm of our members.AGPS trainings and social events are designed to mentor new professionals and students, expand the knowledge and clinical skills of all members, and enrich and rejuvenate established practitioners.

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee has planned its first quarterly book/film/discussion group. The event is scheduled to run from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday September 24th, at Cafe Express on Lamar at 34th Street. We will be showing the movie "13th", followed by a discussion group around issues of white privilege, racial disparity, and inequity in the justice system. After your RSVP we will be sending out a chapter reading from the book "Killers of the Dream" by Lillian Smith to attendees for additional discussion and consideration.
Charge:  There is no charge for this event.
Note:  This is a members only event.
